The Canton of Hrothgeirsfjordr is part of the Society for Creative Anachronism, or SCA.  The SCA is a historical society dedicated to researching and recreating the arts, sciences, martial arts, and culture of the middle ages and early renaissance.  Members study a variety of time period and places from around the world, including England, India,  Japan, and Norse cultures.  There is something for everyone, and you decide what and how much you wish to participate.  We have a vast range of activities including: heavy fighting, thrown weapons, sewing, dancing, painting, theater, archery, and much more.

If you are interested in joining us, please stop by one of our weekly meetings and introduce yourself! We are open to all ages, but we do require that minors have a parent or legal guardian with them. Weekly meetings are free to attend, and open to the public with no membership or attire requirements.  Please view the schedule to see what we will be doing during meeting times.

Our annual event is called Yulefeast, which is traditionally held on the second Saturday of December and does have a fee and attire requirements.
